Howdy! I’m Ben Bloom, the new Director of Product Management at Systics. I’ve spent the last 15 years in project and product management, helping teams solve hard problems across fintech, critical infrastructure, medical technology, and enterprise computing systems. If it’s complex and mission-critical, chances are I’ve had a hand in shaping it.
I hold a PMP certification and formerly a CSPO, but more important than the acronyms is what drives me: advocating for the user while balancing perspectives of leaders, doers, and users alike. My role is to help guide development in a direction that delivers solutions that aren’t just powerful and efficient, but also intuitive. I’m accountable for making sure our products bring real-world value without losing sight of the people who depend on them.
Outside of work, I’m an consummate computer geek. I love running my own homelab (yes, I have more servers in my house than most small businesses), running a 3D print farm from my garage, and pretending I’m a professional chef. When I finally take a break, you can usually find me watching movies — everything from timeless classics to 90’s schlock.
I live in sunny San Diego with my wife, our two kids, and a 100-pound golden retriever puppy who’s convinced he’s a lap dog. Between family time, chasing the world’s fluffiest linebacker around the house, and building cool things at work, life stays full — just how I like it.
Also, I’m kind of stuck with Blue Prince right now, so if you have any tips please drop me a line. I’m getting desperate…
